In the Australian Open, as well as in Wimbledon, players are now given a number of chances to challenge a call (whether the ball was called in or out correctly). Now, if you hit or touch the ball BEFORE challenging the call, will this void the challenge?

  1. yes

  2. Nope. You have to stop the point and challenge the call right when you see it. If you lose the challenge, you lose the challenge and you lose the point. If you win the challenge, you keep the one and don't lose it and you replay the point. (Only if your serving and you think it's an ace and you got it in). A player has 3 challenges per set and an extra 1 challenge in a tiebreaker.

  3. you must challenge immediately before u hit the ball otherwise they will say ur challenge is too late why wait until u hit the ball

  4. Yes.

Just like in any other sport, you void your ability to call the ball if it hits your racket.

  5. if u hit out and then challenge then yes it will void the challenge

if u hit in and then challenge then challenge stands

  6. yes.

    yes you can challenge

  7. you should not let the ball touches your racquet or your body or any of your article of clothing. then you can challenge the call.

if you return the ball, your opponent do the same, and we will be confused about which case to be disputed first.

    hope it helps :)
