  1. No. at all. don't do it.

  2. No.  That is considered an illegal move in tennis.

  3. Yes, but ONLY if the ball has bounced on your side and then bounced back over the net without being touched!

    Here's how it happens:

Sometimes, a player can slice the ball with so much backspin, that the ball will drop just over the net AND the backspin causes the ball to bounce back over before you  (or your partner) can even get to it!  It DOESN'T happen often, but it surely DOES happen.

So, if you're quick enough to get to the spot & reach over and hit the ball BEFORE it bounces on your opponent's side....THEN, YOU ARE ALLOWED to reach OVER the net to strike the ball...but you still CANNOT TOUCH the net!

Again, this doesn't happen too often, but I've seen it at least 5-6 times.  Players that "SLICE" the ball most of the time will tend to get good at the backspin....and sometimes they get lucky with one of those types of shots.

Otherwise, you are NOT allowed to make contact with the ball past the "plane" of the net.  Your racquet can cross the plane, but only AFTER you've struck the ball on your side of the net!

  4. No, you can never touch or go over the net with your body or racket.  If you do so you lose the point.

  5. No
