I am learning about Biodiesel. Though I know it is renewable and better than petroleum as far as emissions I'm not sure how it compares to a higher mpg like a hybrid.

  1. Hybrid!

But whats even better than those is if your energy company provides green-energy (energy from wind or solar), and you buy an electric car.

No oil changes, no horrible emissions, no need for gas.

The only cleaner you can get is if you ride a bike or walk! :)

  2. It depends on the grade of the biodiesel and the type of the hybrid.  The two are not usually compared because hybrids are usually gasoline based vehicles and biodiesel is usually used in diesel based vehicles.  The website below compares different alternative fuels.  I would say the best is electric followed by CNG.

  3. hybrid

  4. Hybrids only give you better mileage in the city. On the highways you're running on gasoline only plus the batteries are terrible to get rid of. . Bio fuels polute a good deal also. I'm not sure what the trade off is plus Bio fuels require a lot of energy to produce....
