Could a German guy call an English girl a "sister"? Could a Chinese guy call an English girl a "sister"?

I think you need to define 'Gorilla Guy' or better yet, if it's what I think it is, DON'T!

It depends on the stretching of the word sister. Some people (not just Afro-Caribbeans) use Brother (or brudder, or even brotherfromanothermother) when their is no genetic link. My best mates mum was my 'auntie' and all manner of relations are 'cousins'.

Literally no, it is erroneous to use it in a such a manner. But colloquially it is fine.

i am not sure about the gorilla... maybe them also, but with big hairy human races maybe (maybe with a east euro, mediteranian).

it definitely depends on your beleif.       if you believe in adam and eve then yes chinese can call english sister. if you beleive in evolution (evolved from apes) then the chinese can't call anyone else sister unless they are from the same mom and dad, i beleive in evolution so i couldn't call a chinese guy brother etc.
