Underselling itself? Lots of other islands market themselves heavily and l know as a fact they don't have half of what T&T has to offer. If you were to encourage someone to visit T&T, what would be some highlights you'd point out?

  1. we doh business we have oil and gas !

Truth is we can't even service the local market so attracting more people might do us more harm than good.

huh Mandy we know whey yuh wuking gyal !

  2. well Trinidad is part of a sub set called the Caribbean. It will be stereotyped with the profile of that part of the world , so I would go with that.

Also the mammalian/ reptilian diversity , the uniquely Trini dishes whatever that is , Carnival / Women sorry but u can't escape that fact. And Hotels / Hotels / Hotels...which can be marketed as luxury spas ETC  for visitors. Then u market this in Europe anyhow you can. The rest of the world will follow

  3. Trinidad and Tobago are now trying to develop itself more in the tourism industry. Of course we are not on the level of Barbados and Jamaica yet, but are quickly catching up.

Trinidad and Tobago has something for everyone.

If you are fast-paced and like the nightlife, I suggest you come to Trinidad. We have things like

-Carnival (around end of Feb or early March) which is like Mardi Gras but not quite and not as revealing as Rio de Jinero's carnival. It is nicknamed "The Greatest Show on Earth"

    -Beaches, snokerling, hiking ets

    - Clubbing: major clubs are Zen, 51 Degress and Sting

    - Spas

-Bird life, the WIld Fowl Trust and Asa Wrights

If you enjoy a mroe laid back feel visit Tobago. It's mroe about the beauty of the island itself and a very friendly laid back vibe about it. The beaches are alot more beautiful than Trinidad and so too the habitat. It has everything that is more for the nature lover and has it's amazing festivals.

There is so much more the country can offer.... that's just the beginning

  4. Mos def carnival would be number one. Unfortunately  I don't see any commercials in the states or even advertisements in magazines about TnT. Besides carnival you have the beautiful beaches, historic landmarks that are not just apart of our history but apart of world history, our unique culture and also point out all of the natural resources that come from the Island. Let me not forget the food too!!lol

  5. Girl, that is question! Yes TnT does undersell itself.  I personally work in the Travel Industry and meet rell people. Always they first time to TnT and they only end up here because they come to do some wuk. But TnT isn't famous for beaches but we have an amazing cultural experience which is something we should highlight more of. Ofcourse Carnival is #1 but..we does fete year round. I like to play tour guide too bad. So I does take the foreigners to ah real rum shop lime and they does go crazy for that kinda thing. Bar to Bar hoping. Ah nice drive down to Carenage and some down the island entertainment. A good cooking night (the saturday night lime when you does storm people thing who you ent know..but get food anyway). Trinidad has a beautiful eco system. ASA Wright is beautiful and relaxing. Long drive to Toco and Matelot and Biche! LOL..ah sure some ah allyuh in here don't even know how to start to find dey. Not to mention river lime. St James for some good road side food and you could catch ah play at Central Bank. You could knock the beaches too.....Maracas, Mayaro, Manzanilla. And drop over to Tobago...we all know about that. And Christmas...lawd. Christmas in the country is ah experience by itself. I does hit bout 12 house on that day. Talk about belly bussing! But is fun. Girl, TnT is a real sweet place. Is a shame we doh appreciate it like we should. So we may not be blue watered but it have many other ways we could give tourist and unforgettable experience.
