  1. I disagree a little bit:

    East:

    1. Boston

    2. Cleveland

    3. Orlando

    4. Detroit

    5. Philadelphia

    6. Washington (if healthy)

    7. Miami

    8. Toronto

    West:

    1. Lakers

    2. Hornets

    3. Rockets

    4. Jazz

    5. Spurs

    6. Suns

    7. Mavs

    8. Trailblazers

Philadelphia acquired Brand so if their healthy than that is a potential top 5 team. Detroit might not be an elite team anymore with their increased age. a rookie coach (I hope their the best) but the team has low expectations this year. I don't know what to expect with Miami but a healthy D Wade should be an automatic playoff spot in my opinion. The Cavs finally got some scoring help they might even challenge an aged Boston team for the top spot in the East.

The Rockets won 22 in a row without Yao. Now they have Yao and Artest if their healthy they are arguably the 2nd best team in the West. The spurs got one more year older so they have to drop while the Jazz got one more year of experience for their young players. The Mavs have practically kept the same team from last years first round exit. Denver lost their defense with Camby so they were #8 last year. And the Clippers lost Elton Brand and in the East they would easily make the playoffs in the West it's not a given.

our west predictions look about the same except i would just have portland as #8.... denver is the same team w/o camby which is not a good team. and the clippers will not be good even with BD... the GS had a good team last year and he couldnt even get them into the playoffs... with oden, fernandez, and bayless its now time for the blazers to be in the picture again
