In the 'Battle in the Pool' which countries swim team will be the dominant force at the Beijing Olympics?

U.S.A or Australia? will Phelps win 8 gold medals, will Grant Hackett win his third gold medal in the 1500m? will the Aussie women dominant?

i should say oz but i can't. the american men will win most. eamon, hackett and maybe an aussie mens relay could get gold. the aussie women should win af ew more than the yankee women.

The aussie women might win 8 gold medals but Micheal phelps could do the same so it will be an interesting contest.

Both will be dominant but Asian and European nations could take a bite out of past medal dominance of these two countries.

Look for Phelps, Lochte, and Hoff alone to win 15 medals for the USA.

But look for Liesel Jones and several other Aussies to win as many as 18 or 19 medals for the 'down under' country.

It's a shame they don't allow these countries to send three athletes apiece (like in track and field) in these events.
