  1. yes and no. if your ait is over 23 Weeks then yes, meaning the army will pay to move your family to you but you have to go to them to get every thing sit up after you get to ait. if your ait is not over 23 weeks you can pay to move them your self, but it will be along time if at all you get to live with them. my husbands ait is over 23 weeks so we got to move with him, but we payed for the move our self's cuz the army takes forever to get every thing in order.

  2. No. You are still going to be under the TRADOC umbrella. You won't have any time for family at that point anyways so sweat it. Plan early for the move that will take place after you finish AIT. Good Luck

  3. NO! tell them to stay home, When you get to your first assignment, providing its not Iraq or Afghanistan, your family can join you then!

  4. ask recruiter or somone that has been in svs

any school bro assigned spouse id not attend or go to area..

  5. your AIT has to be over 52 weeks to my knowledge it only applies to X-ray tech 54 weeks and, band member wich has to attend 2 AIT's one for band member 56 weeks and what ever thier secondry MOS is most other MOS's are 6 weeks to 5 months

  6. Don't quote me but I don't think so. I think they can visit some weekends but not the whole time.

    Good luck!!

  7. no you'll be on strict schedule for school and if it didn't come in your duffel bag you do not need it. its the military way do not question it

  8. Not unless its on your own dime, or if the AIT is more than I think 6 months you can try and get on base housing or BAH pay. I would let them stay where they are if its only for a few months. good luck

  9. Nope. They can visit on the weekends but that's about it. The exception is if your MOS school is over 6 (?) months.

  10. They could stay nearby your post and you could see them on the weekends eventually.  But they can't live with you or anything like that.

This only applies if your AIT is more than two months long or so.  Otherwise they probbaly don't give out passes and such.
