  1. My family went to Disneyland in May and we ate at the Blue Bayou. It was a little expensive but well worth it. We really liked the atmosphere and looking out over the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. We went at lunch time so that it was a little cheaper. The drinks are separate from the meal. Since we went with a group of 10 people, we pretty much covered the menu and everyone liked what they had.

Here are the menus to give you an idea of what to expect. Just note that the prices have gone up.

Make sure to make your reservations in advance since it is a very popular restaurant.

  2. I ate at Blue Bayou in March of this year. I got chicken, one of my friends got steak, and the other got fish. None of us thought the meal was very good- my chicken was over cooked and dry, the sides (some unrecognizable vegetable puree) were odd, and the bread was this side of stale. Plus, the service wasn't that great. Honestly, I'd say save some money (because whoo boy, is it waaaaay over priced [almost $200 for three people!]) and eat at either Rainforest Cafe or House of Blues, both in Downtown Disney, right near the monorail entrance. There's also a killer Mexican restaurant that is surprisingly well-priced right across from House of Blues. At Blue Bayou, yeah, the atmosphere is cool, but it's a better deal to eat elsewhere and just go on the ride-or just order a dessert if your heart is set on it.

  3. Drinks are never with the meal at Disneyland first and foremost...

My husband and I eat there 2 times a year and love it...its the same price as eating at Outback steakhouse or similar...The food is amazing...I love the salad and the way they present it...try the Prime Rib its so moist and yummy..also great for the kiddos too but really a great romantic spot but you need to call ahead and reserve a table...the number is 714-781 DINE...have a wonderful time :)

  4. My wife and I have dined at Blue Bayou twice.

The first time, was back in September 2004.  Last visit was just this past June.

Both were great dining experiences.  Drinks are not included with meals.

The Monte Cristo sandwich is the most popular dish, but the rest of the menu changes regularly.  Visit http://www.allearsnet.com/ for an updated menu.

  5. I have an annual pass so I go once in awhile. It's more of an adult restaurant rather than family because of the Cajun menu.  We mostly go during Christmas just for dessert .They have special Nightmare Before Christmas desserts that the whole family can enjoy.
