In the French language, do the name of states in the U.S. remain the same? ?

More or less, yes.

However, spellings will change and they always add 'le'.

Some of the states retain their name in French. Others have a different ending, thus Californie instead of California. States with cardinal directions in their names have translated names, hence Dakota du Nord. For some reason it is still New York but Nouveau-Mexique. Go figure.
