In the HONDA Fit...what are the differences between the base and sport versions?

In the market for a Honda Fit automatic('07 or '08) and unsure of the advantages gained by purchasing the sport model over the base model... It seems (according the sales guy) that the only features you get are a spoiler and different tires..and I cant see paying $1500 more for that!..

So Id like to know what extras does the SPORT Honda fit

offer (electronics,luxuries..ect..) that the BASE Fit is lacking and considering the higher price is it worth it?.... or should I just get the base model?

also if you own one ... How is it?..are you pleased?

THANKS!!!

  1. body kit , tires/wheels, spoiler, guages, and a few other little things. Its a great car i sell them all day long and right now there worth every penny and they dont compremise safety!! clockwisedemon7@yahoo.com :)

  2. unless the tires are 400$ a piece, its not worth it

  3. go ahead and get sport. on the sport most likely the gauges are different and it will be lowered sometimes. sport is a little faster sometimes as well

  4. the base trim level comes with the manual gearbox.

Fit Sport with an automatic transmission.

The 5-speed manual is standard and the 5-speed automatic is an option, with the Fit Sport equipping it with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters for manual shifting.

The Fit Sport includes an underbody kit and rear roofline spoiler for better aerodynamics, fog lights and 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels with wider (55-series) tires. It also has cruise control, a premium 200-watt AM/FM/CD system with MP3/WMA playback capability and auxiliary audio jack to connect any portable music player. And there's a security system with remote keyless entry.

Fit Sport extras include a sport muffler, chrome exhaust tip and sport mesh grille.

The standard Fit's 14-inch wheels and 65-series tires handicap handling a little. But here's a key option to enhance handling and braking: accessory alloy wheels and tires from the Honda Factory Performance division. They're available for both the Fit and Fit Sport in a 16-inch size with 45-series performance tires.
