In the Japanese martial arts, what is the difference between a Dojo and a Doin?

I just recently ran across the word 'Doin' as opposed to a Dojo. And I can't figure out the difference.

道場 = dojo; way place.

道院 = doin; way institution/temple

Going by that paragraph you posted, it means the Religious Zen/Buddhist side of the art is emphasised in Doin.  Where as the physical in the Dojo

Well I know that the word Dojo is a Japanese word roughly translates into school. And a Dojin is a Korean word that translates the same. But I'm no too sure what Doin is.

Oh, your right James it is Dojang. I got it wrong (I said Dojin, close but no cigar).

it may be a typo or lazy word, i havent found any usage of it any where wicky or otherwise

Tae Kwon Do schools (Korean) are called "Dojang", instead of "Dojo".

I've not heard of "Doin", other than in "Doin time".  :o)
