Why do so many people keep on asking stupid questions about oyster cards?

Is it not self explanatory, or do people just like to be read by others.

Do the suppliers of these d**n things not tell you how to use them?

The oyster card system is terrible if you live in the UK and have been watching the news the system collapsed twice in July so people got a free ride.

It also takes two - three weeks to recieve an oyster card. However it is pointless for children to have an oyster card as if under twelve you travel free, and up to the age of 16 it is only £1 for a day of travel on the tube and buses of London

I think youre forgetting this is YA and if you can help people do so without beign rude - we dont know everything. I do know only alittle about Oyster cards myself but not everything.

I agree, they should head down to their local train station and enquire.

Plainly it isn't self-explanatory, or people wouldn't have to ask.

The range of TfL tickets and their validity can be very confusing even for Londoners, let alone visitors to London.

If you're a regular Oyster user, and know how to use them, then bully for you, but it's a bit more difficult if you're visiting London from elsewhere in the UK or abroad and have never used them before.

not every one knows about oyster cards and are probably going to use the oyster card for the first time.
