Stoke City:
The on-loan striker of Real Zaragoza, Pennant, would like to sign for the Potters permanently after his contract expire this winter. Pennant has put in some attention-grabbing performances since joining Stoke City this summer. The winger seems to be rediscovering
his best form under Tony Pulis and is ready to extend his stay with the Staffordshire outfit.
Pennant said: "I'm enjoying myself and the way things are going here, if the two clubs can agree something in January then I'll be more than happy to put pen to paper. The manager has given me that platform to go and do what I can do.”
Sunderland:
Sunderland’s manager, Steve Bruce, who is also former Manchester United manager, wants to keep on-loan Manchester United, Danny Welbeck, at the Stadium of Lights for long.
Over the time, Welbeck has become the vital member of Black Cats’ current squad. The on-loan Manchester United striker has managed to form a formidable partnership with Darren Bent.
Recently, Welbeck scored and also assisted Asamoah Gyan in a thrashing win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Sunderland dominated the game and could have won by a bigger margin as Carlo Ancelloti’s men lost their first home match after seven months and
suffered their heaviest Barclays Premier League defeat in eight years. Now Bruce hopes to open talks about signing Welbeck on a permanent basis when the season ends.
The manager of Black Cats said that his on-loan Manchester United striker, Danny Welbeck, was exceptional against Chelsea and played very well. He added that he was sad about the fact that Welbeck is on-loan from Manchester United and he does not know how
much Danny is going to cost Sunderland. Bruce also said that he would love to have Welbeck for a long time at Sunderland.
Tottenham Hotspurs:
Tottenham Hotspurs centre half Vedran Corluka claims he is not thinking about leaving Hotspurs after going down in pecking order at White Hart Lane. Corluka is close to getting back to full fitness after suffering the effects of playing regularly for a number
of years. But even though he could struggle to get back into Tottenham Hotspurs, he insists he has no plans of moving on.
He said: "After playing regularly for a few years, my body started to feel that and I got a series of injuries. After the last national team action I returned to
England injured and I couldn't train for two-and-a-half weeks and that is why I understand that I don't have a place in the first team. I don't complain. The manager has his own vision and he doesn't talk about that with us players. We just
have to train very hard and whoever is not playing has to wait for his chance. I'm waiting for my chance and I'm trying to stay in the best shape so I won't have any problems when the manager does put me in the team.”"
