West Bromwich Albion:
The Baggies manager felt West Bromwich Albion deserved a draw against Wigan last weekend. West Bromwich Albion lost to by one goal and Victor Mosses was the only player who managed to put his name on the score-sheet.
In the dying minutes of the match, Roberto Di Matteo’s men almost scored a goal when Chris Brunt rattled in a shot from an acute angle but unfortunately it was exceptionally blocked by opposition keeper.
The Italian manager of West Bromwich said: "A draw would have been a fair result if you look at the game. We have had a difficult two weeks and lacked a bit of sharpness in the second half. We put a lot of effort in this week and it was difficult for
us. We couldn't raise our game as we usually do.”
West Ham United:
The Hammers’ boss is pinning his faith in his two talismanic midfielders, Parker and Noble as they bid to turn their fortunes around.
The duo was behind the home side's best opportunities against Blackpool and Grant reserved special praise for Noble, who was back 12 days after an appendix operation.
Avram Grant said that Mark was amazing and it was incredible to see Mark playing even being injured. Grant added that Mark gave all his heart to the team during the game; he defended and attacked quite amazingly. He also said that Mark is a classical West
Ham United who loves to give his best efforts while playing for the club. While commenting about Scott Parker, the Hammers’ manager said that he is the best player at West Ham and Parker is key player who can bring fruitful results for West Ham United.
Wigan Athletic:
Victor Moses is a young man with old-fashioned values as he makes his way in the Barclays Premier League with Wigan. Moses’ idea of fun is to race down the flank, frighten his challenger and either grab a goal or set up an opportunity.
The 19-year-old did just that when he scored the winner in the 1-0 victory against West Bromwich Albion at the DW Stadium. It was the first league goal of the season for the England Under-21 international, who arrived at the end of the January transfer window
in a £2.5m move from Crystal Palace.
Victor Moses said that it was up to his manager. Moses was keen just keen to play football and enjoy himself.
He said: “There are a lot of games to come and I am just keen to keep learning and improving."
Wolverhampton Wolves:
Mick McCarthy admits his team need to make sure they get the basics right if their results are to improve. The club remain in the Barclays Premier League relegation zone after being defeated 3-2 at Molineux by Bolton on Saturday.
Mick McCarthy’s men have received appreciations for their impressive displays in recent weeks but are yet to keep a single clean sheet this term; something the manager knows must be addressed.
Wolverhampton boss, whose side have only two victories and nine points from 13 league matches so far, said that his team would have to make sure that they do their best to earn a clean sheet. He added that his team had played some great football and created
load of opportunities but in the defence they concede goal, which was a concern for everyone at club.
McCarthy said: “We might have to just start at basics and make sure we keep a clean sheet."
