  1. It is usually done by the Department of Public Works and Highways, who do it after it has been reported in TV or in Radio.

  2. The Department of Public Works and Highways are the ones repairing the roads.  But then, before they can make a repair, there is a need for repair project proposal, then biddings left and right.

  3. the DPWH would repair highways major thoroughfares bridges etc. but the local government LGU mayor is responsible for the roads within its boundaries. these budget comes from the development fund distributed by the congressmen (pork barrel). however the LGU could allocate funds for repairs of their roads as municipal projects.

it should be the responsibility of the planning office/ of the LGU. however since the municipal mayor being the head/ (honorary) chairman he always has the last say.

so no mater what recommendations, complaints and miserable the road may be if the municipal mayor would not act on it because its a territory of an opposing party, you wouldn't get any results. this is the Philippines get use to this "tae"

  4. First off, determination must be made on who owns that road.  If that road is private, for example owned by the Ayala Land and not turned over the local/national government,  then they are supposed to repair it.

If it is a municipal road, the local government it is.   If national, the Public Works Department of the Republic.

If it is a carabao trail, the beasts are supposed to be more active.

  5. mayor, alderman, or street commisioner if you have one. usually the entity that gets your taxes.

  6. your first and your most simple move will be to report it to your Brgy. Captain (head of the barangay/village/subd.). ask if he already filed a report for the repair of that road. if your brgy. capt. already have filed for a follow up, then your next step is to go to the city engineering office or your local DPWH office. then file a report or make a follow up. bet its gonna take a long time before they do something about your report, so the best way is to file it together with some of your fellow resident and a news reporter and a cameraman. (basically just like in TV Patrol).hehehe

  7. I'd suggest approach the local politicians first.

  8. DPWH is the one responsible for that, they usually have budget, but thing because of the corruption they was not able to finish it.
