I don't think it is normal in the Phils. to blow your food when it is hot. Filipinos, though not all, have table manners! It all depends on the person eating. I have to say, it is not elegant to do it and we were taught to wait until you can put food in your mouth without blowing.

not only in the philippines.  it's a force of habit!  try eating your food when it's boiling hot...you'd regret it and tell yourself you should have let it cool down first hindi ba? :)
