Then why do vehicles belonging to the politicians and the government have them on anyway? Especially if your with the legislative body, one who makes laws, isn't this dumb?

  1. There use to be a law against it during Sen. Lacson's stint being the secretary for the Philippine Anti-Crime Commission. That was issued then to eliminate the usual kidnapping hype in the Philippines then. However, it was strictly commissioned because of his popularity, but not properly implemented on the streets in the metro.

For the Filipino politicians, they can get away with everything anyway. No need to be shocked!=P

    Hope this helps.

  2. tinted windshields were banned during the height of the kidnap for ransom cases, however, i go with you regarding the government official having tinted glasses, they should set example of not having the glass of their vehicle tinted so that the constituents can see them. why hide from somebody if you have clean conscience.

  3. I used to think there was such a law. But now I don't think so. I have a dark tinted car and no uniformed guy cares.

  4. i think there used to be for all cars. now its for the puv's only. its a sorta anti-robbery thing. yep, lame-o. i know.

  5. Sorry there Mister... there is no such law. That's why my car seems to be the only one with light tint.

  6. I don't think there are any laws about that. Laws in the Philippines are always broken.

  7. During the Marcos regime and the Aquino regime, tinted vehicles were prohibited.

  8. there is such a law?what i could remember was a law banning all public utility vehicles to use tinted windows and curtains for easier detection of hold-ups..
