  1. When 'user does not allow IM', it means he does not want other users to contact him via Instant Messaging (IM) on the Yahoo Messenger.


  2. The user has selected to not allow people to IM with them. People do this because they don't like IMing, they don't have IM, or they just don't want to IM with random yahooers.

  3. It means that the user does not allow Instant Messages from other users. In other words, it hides your online status :)
