Performance of Charlie Lister’s Bucks Blade was quite similar to his heats performance. Once again very impressively he swung off the bend, surged all the way to success and managed to over threw the fast finisher Sakara Star.
Covering the trip of 480 meters in the Grade OR chase, Stadium Bookmakers 480 M Trophy Final Charlie Lister’s youngster succeeded in fortifying his possession for the £400 reward.
As the trap doors opened, Bucks Blade wearing red and white jacket headed into the first stretch, followed by the trap 4 racer Maireads Hawk and trainer S Cahill’s Sakara Star.
As trainer C Lister’s trap 1 racer managed to reach in the second bend, very badly the two-year-old hound got challenged by his contenders. Not taking the situation in over his head the hound greased up his elbows and took the lead in the third stretch.
Leaving the trap 5 racer Sakara Star behind, C Lister’s hound abruptly rallied through the dirt track in urge to break the wire in first place.
The one-year-old black dog Sakara Star, experienced a clear run during the second and third bend, was shadowed by the trap 4 racer Maireads Hawk, who was spotted at the pointer position till the third stretch after facing disputation.
Heading home, C Lister’s Bucks Blade sustained his precious spot and in the estimated time of 29.23 seconds, the champ was able to win hands down.
S Cahill’s racer taking the lead over rest of the four hounds took 29.43 seconds to finish off second. Over thrown by Bucks Blade by two and a half lengths Sakara Star was sent in with 3 – 1 odds.
Trainer C Allsopp’s two-year-old hound after facing challenge in the initial lengths later on accomplished in taking lead during the second and the third stretch, but while he was spotted in the final stretch his prompt tempo was not enough to compete.
Crossing over in 29.63 seconds, Maireads Hawk in with 5 – 1 odds managed to attain the third position.
Finishing off fourth due to the hindrance experienced during the early part of the race, trainer F Lenton’s Mays Harvestmoon lost the chance by a head distance.
With 7 – 2 odds the trap 3 racer took 29.64 seconds to conclude his pursuit for the purse.
Slick Sian being the only female contender among the lot of dogs, was in for trainer K Allsopp. The black b***h went through same scenario as Mays Harvestmoon, but during the final stretch she lost her speedy pace.
At that moment the trap 6 racer Swift Frogma who got crowded during the third bend, took the lead over Slick Sian.
In the recorded time of 29.64 seconds trainer F Lenton’s Mays Harvestmoon finished off fourth, following Swift Frogma at fifth in 29.70 seconds, and Silk Sian, being the last hound to cross over, took 30.18 seconds.
Bucks Blad raced a pretty good race as he confirmed his ownership for the purse as well as for the prestigious title of Stadium Bookmakers 480 M Trophy Final.
