Does the state have a law against lowriders.

  1. Not that I know of, but call the Louisiana State Police and ask:

    You also need to ask about the parish/city you plan to be in to make sure there isn't a local law prohibiting them.  For example: www.nopd.com


  2. Lowriders are allowed in Louisiana--but individual cities within parishes there DO reserve the right to cite lowrider operation on their highways as being hazardous---for good reason.

    And that reason is:  Many of Louisiana local roads are NOT in the best shape---known all too well by Louisiana lowrider owners who don't mind saving the hydraulic magic stuff for when their vehicles are parked still.

    Also--don't lowride along state highways and/or interstates: keep the ride raised at least 3 to 5 inches when cruising these roadways.  And lose the neon undercarriage and/or license plate frame lights--they're illegal everywhere in Louisiana.
