In the State of Tennessee can you obtain a drivers liscense under the age of 21 without a highschool diploma?

Aparently my moms boyfriend says that you cannot get a drivers liscense in tennessee if your a highschool drop out under the age of 21 ive tryed google and no answers. So the question is can you get a liscense in tennessee under the age of 21 without a highschool diploma?

  1. that's actually a really good idea if it's an actual law (to a reasonable age though). check the state constitution or the tennesse secretary of states office website.


  2. Type in DMV/Tenn in the searchbar and go to the "new drivers" or license section. Most States are now making dropouts wait until they are 18 to get a drivers license. At that age, you are legally an adult.

  3. i got my liscense in tn i dropped out of school but i had to wait till i was 18 so i don;t think you have to be 21 just 18

    The only requirement is the age of 18.
