In the Torah, what chapter and verse, do we here discussion on alcohol?

  1. Alcohol - or at least wine - is mentioned throughout the Torah.  It was an everyday beverage, it was used for ceremonial purposes, and people also got drunk (Noah is an obvious example of this).

    There is no "discussion on alcohol" as far as the laws dictating what we can and cannot eat, and there is no Torah law against drinking it.  Alcohol is fully permitted (there are laws about what makes wine kosher, but they are in the Talmud).  

    Don't forget that in Torah days, there was often no clean, readily available water source.  People drank alcohol as a matter of course. (In Egypt they have found 3000 year old beer stored among the tombs - it's believed to be the oldest man-made beverage).
