I know they are at least around the same speed because the scene where the wolves chased Laurent, but I was wondering if Stephenie Meyer ever said anything about it or if there was something else in the books that addressed the speed comparison.

  1. It never directly compared them. My guess would be that they are at the same rate because they're able to keep up with each other.

  2. they don't really mention it in the book but i would guess they both the same

  3. not that i recall. but most of the time in other books the werewolf is faster simply b/c they are dog like. but there are no werewolves in stephenie meyers books. she said in breaking dawn that they were more like shape shifters and that REAL werewolves are savage.

  4. In all their Gary Stuness, they're even faster than the Gary Stu meyerpiers are.

  5. stephenie meyer doesn't really come right out there and tell you how a werewolfs speed would compare to a vampire. But she really just disrcribes that they can run fast beacuse jacob tells bella that one thing he really enjoys about being a werewolf is the speed.  the only other comparison that somewhat adresses speed, is the scene when the werewolfves chase after  laurent in the woods. SM doesn't use a direct comparison between the two.
