This is for my friend who is in Care. Her 6 year old sister is adopted but she currently sees her for 4 hours per year.

How much time is she legally entitled to?

  1. as much as she wants

  2. Ideally -  often as the girls choose.

While it's sad they get to see each other so seldom, in the USA there are NO legal protections to ensure continuing family relations.

    Separation is Sad

  3. Wow I think these siblings are being shortchanged - 4 hours per year to see your own sister, that sucks

Some serious negotiation needs to happen here.  Perhaps contact the Post-Adoption Centre in London for advice on this

  4. As much as possible.  That is so sad that agencies in the UK are violating rights like they do.

  5. Thats sad. She should be allowed to see her sister as much as she likes.

  6. There's no legal limit. So it's a matter for negotiation between the legal guardians.

Provided they act in the best interest of the children anything is possible.
