In the UK, is it possible for me to buy, grow and harvest my own tobacco plant(s)?

If so, where can I get a plant(s) from and for roughly how much? How many plants would be needed to produce tobacco for personal consumption?

how many plants you need depends on how much you smoke

dont you think if the climate in the UK was such to grow tobacco the fields would be full of it already

Pretty sure that you can grow them, in greenhouses, but when you use the leaves to manufacture tobacco to smoke, then you are liable for duty to be paid. You may even require a license
