  1. Yes, a CRB check will cover ALL convictions and/or any recorded arrests, however, in order to get one you would need to approach a company that does these and they cost around £40 and you need a fair amount of identification. I'm not sure where you would be able to find a company that would do them for you (They are known as agencies and have to be licensed) I had mine done because I worked with older people and it was the law.


  2. Bardic is right.  Cheapest way is to apply for a job in a school or volunteer to work with children or vulnerable adults.

  3. Not directly, no. A prospective employer can obtain it, with your consent, and it will be sent direct to him/her/them.  You will also be sent a copy.

    I quote "The current legislation does not allow the self-employed or individuals to apply for a CRB check on themselves."

    There is no "privacy law" applicable.

  4. Yes . You have a privacy law that allows you to see ANY of your personal records that ANY organization may have on you. You Just have to pay the necessary fees. They will stall until you make it clear that they are your records and you will see them or Rep in Commons will hear about it.
