  1. In the U.S., a few years ago, Australia was famous for the Wiggles. Mmmmm, loves me some of that Anthony Wiggle.

I don't think any of the adult-targeted dramas have really made it over the transom in the US -- but the US is a notoriously xenophobic market. I mean, they way they re-dubbed the British Teletubbies -- simply tragic. I'm surprised they didn't try to dub Colin Firth's character in Pride & Prejudice with Bruce Willis' voice (or something).

  2. In the US, Australia is famous for kangaroos, koala bears, the Outback Steakhouse chain, large cans of beer and an increasing  production of some fairly good wines.

Never heard of that brand of soap...

  3. I don't think Neighbours is shown anywhere else outside Oz except the UK! No one else would understand it. In my experience, more people actually watch it in the UK as in Oz the weather's better and people have better things to do with their lives than watch TV! Last week in London one of the Neighbours stars sang the theme tune with crowds of peole in Trafalgar Square! The programme is moving from BBC to Channel Five.

Sad!!! In more ways than one!

  4. Haha no, he means television soap "Neighbours"

I bet you're glad you don't know what it is, it's awful haha

I live in England, and Australia are famous for being bread stealing convicts....haha just messing around

I see Australia as a country with lots of good rugby teams, they show NRL over here but its always on at funny times.

    Peace...
