It's the day that the people go at the sea...and every body eat and drink together at his family or with her boyfrend or girlfrend.....it's a beautiful day....

  3. No please tell us - but on a similar theme I noticed that our patron , St George is also a patron saint of many other countries including Georgia, Ethiopia, Greece, Palestine, Russia and Portugal.

  9. This is a traditional Italian holiday, probably dating back to pagan times, though it is now celebrated on August 15th which is also the Feast of the Assumption, known in Italy as La Festa dell’Assunta or L’Assunzione di Maria Vergine.

    It's not celebrated in the UK
