In the UK is it legal for a person to be the main driver on two insurance policies on two different cars?

  1. simple answer NO, if you are rich enough to own 4/5 cars, and you are the sole driver each car must be insured in your name


  2. No. By law, you must be insured for every car you drive.

  3. Yes of course . Two policies one for each car...I have three cars and three seperate polocies..(Still cheaper than Admiral Multicar).

    However, if you're thinking of a fiddle to get around naming your teenage son as the main driver, this may not be completely honest. Insurers don't like dishonesty.

  6. If you do not own the cars, you can be a named driver on the owners policy. If you own the cars you must normally insure them separately.
