  1. Not sure about legality, but it is fatal for a child under 12 to sit in the front seat if the passenger side is fitted with an airbag, the impact wont kill them but the bag might. The safest place for children is in the back, in an appropriate car seat/booster seat.

  2. all depends on her high before u can use a booster seat, but best keep her in back if u have a front airbags at passenger side

  3. If a child is over 3 they are allowed to be in the front seat (with a booster seat if neccessary), but make sure to turn off the passenger airbag!  To do this(in a modern, averagely priced car), you normally have to open the passenger door, place your key in a special slot and turn it one way or the other. A light should come on on the dashboard telling you that the passenger airbag is off.

  4. Whether the child requires a car seat or booster depends on weight and height.

"New laws concerning the use of the correct baby seat, car seat, booster seat or booster cushion, (appropriate to the weight of your child) in your car, van or goods vehicle, came into force on 18 September 2006.

If you are the driver, you are responsible for ensuring that anyone under the age of 14 must wear a seat belt and (if appropriate) use the correct baby/child seat or booster."

Please see the link for all information you require on this important subject.

  5. It is not illigal, providing she has the correct seat, I too have 3 kids and three along the back seat are a nightmare!

Threatened to put one of them in the boot, and they went 'Yeah!!!'
