  1. I think the railway thing is very important. We live 2 miles from a rural station but cannot afford to use the trains - it is actually cheaper for one person to drive and park than use the train.

Also no bus service to get there so have to use car to station -not lazy before comments start!! -.

When my children were younger it was a good and competitive service and we used it a lot as the price for 2 adults and 2 children was nominally more expensive than by car so was excellent value, where as now it seems like an expensive con.

  2. yes its called the government

  3. Land fills, not recycling, too much plastic, non organic foods and farming, non environmental new housing, industry with out conscience and chemical dumping. Too much.  That's just in this country.  But our consumer ways also have an impact on the rest of the world. So gosh where to begin there!!  Way too much.

  4. Chopping down trees, evicting wild animals from their natural habitat, building houses, producing more kids, polluting the sea. Chasing money and losing our morals and standards of being polite and decent human beings. We are on the road to destruction, God help us all!! (I'm not religious by the way, but someones got to help before it's too late.)

  5. Yes, for example all your emissions blow over to Scandinavia. Also the ocean is becoming more polluted, fish are getting cancer and are having problems reproducing because of birthcontrol tablets not being 'digested fully' and thus being pissed out into the marine eco-system(every littile bit helps as the old woman said before she pissed into the ocean). it isn't just the UK of course everyone is a Eco-terrorist it's the human condition. Also importing and exporting products.

  6. oh yes, plenty. palm oil, which is found in hundreds of products.. dove soap, most suntan lotions, hundreds of food products... is destroying the rainforests very rapidly, destroying the habitat of orangutans, an already endangered species There was a recent protest  agains it.

Mcdonalds and burger king are even worse, with the massive amount to beef they produce.. the rainforests are being turned from oxygen farms into methane farms.

oh and Joanne, China has a much smaller per capita emission rate than the UK- ie there is more pollution but waaay more poeple, so they're actually not the bad ones. Also, It's their industry that produces most of the waste, and WE buy the stuff. So yeah they are definitely on the list, but the UK's worse in terms of lifestyle.

aeroplanes are worse than cars, which is why everyone's against the heathrow expansion

...and general energy consumption.. lights, computers and appliances being left on overnight in offices and homes all over uses a lot of electricity, which produces a lot of waste and CO2 emissions.

Cars are a big factor, but only one of hundreds

  7. Using lorries for distribution rather than rail/waterways

    Unnessecary flights

    Excessive food packaging

    Not recycling properly

  8. yes putting pressure on china and America to clean up their acts
