I am starting a job at Baskin Robbins in a few weeks, and during my 4-day training I will be working enough to earn over $100. The thought came into my head though that the training might be unpaid.

Is it legal to have unpaid training, or will I be paid?

  1. I don't know if it's a law but I've never seen someone get unpaid training especially at a known place like Baskin Robbins.

  2. There is a federal law that mandates that you be paid for all training time.  So, yes you will be paid your regular rate of pay.

  3. you'll be paid for training, i don't know about a law but you get paid for training cause your working all the same.

  4. the training is paid however they might pay you less than your agreed hour wage. but yea, you'll get your training money as well. if you don't you can sue them.
