Isn't voting a privilege, not a responsibility? If I don't like any of the candidates, should I feel some obligation to endorse and support one of them?!?

  1. Yes, but here in America you have the choice.

  2. Charles B, No man You don't vote then we, who vote, don't want to hear it. So no vote no complain, you have nothing to bring to the discussion. You don't think it's our responsibility to involved in our countries affairs? Americans have fought and died for the right to vote. d**n right it's your responsibility!! If you don't participate then you're part of the problem.

  3. It is not our right.  Our forefathers fought long and hard to gain the ability to vote in free elections.

It is our privilege and our responsibility to vote.  We live in a democracy where everyone's voice counts for something.  If you don't vote then you are electing to not be heard and to not support your beliefs.  You can vote for a third party or you can write in a candidate but do not remain silent.

  4. It's a privilege and a civic responsibility.  I'm going to vote tomorrow.  For once, Montana matters and that's exciting.

  5. No, it is our right to vote, not our responsibility.  No where, anywhere, does it say you HAVE to vote in order to be a citizen.  And if you don't vote, you can still complain all you want to!

edit:  Seriously, do you people not understand our country at all?  How can we be free if we are forced to vote?  I don't understand.  I don't like anyone running, why should I waste my time voting.  Yeah, I can vote for a 6th party guy that I do like by writing his name in, but you know what, its a waste of time.  So whats the point?  Vote for the lessor of two evils you say?  Well thats just great, way to sell your soul.  I am just as much an American as you or anyone else in this country

  6. I've always believed that you shouldn't vote if you're disinterested or ill-informed on what you're voting for. Stay home, don't worry. Those of us who care about our futures will do the voting on your behalf. And feel free to complain, it doesn't bother me. Free speech and voting are not related.

  7. It is a right, not a privilege.  You don't have to exercise that right.

  8. I used to think people who don't vote shouldn't be able to complain.  However, if I don't like the candidates, why should I vote for the lesser of two evils?  If I hate all of them, but still vote for Hillary, am I not able to complain about her when she screws something up just because I voted for her?  If that's the case, I won't vote for anybody.  I'm tired of picking the lesser of two evils.

  9. Not a responsibility, but a privilege. As such, I feel you give up the right to complain if you do not participate.

  10. Yes, because if you don't think any of the candidates will do a good job leading our country, then you should vote for the lesser because one of them will win, and your vote will get the lesser. Its common sense.

  11. u dont have 2 vote if u dont want to
