In the US, why is Obama winning against Clinton? What have people got against her?

What I don't understand is that women want a bigger role in this country and equal rights but they turned their back on her.

A voter does not have to have anything against Clinton to vote for Obama.  For some it is a hard choice and they pick one or the other based on one being slightly better in their assessment, not based on one being horrible.  

I don't have anything against either, but I'm still looking for an independent or 3rd party candidate who supports the ideas mentioned at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nonlethala... .  That reminds me: I should get back to looking over the list of about 30 Presidential candidates at http://politics1.com/p2008.htm .  

Don't assume folks are so negative just because the negative comments get more media publicity.  Most Americans are more reasonable than the media depicts them.

First of all, Obama is a humble person, with great charisma and intelligent, who is trying to unify the people. About Hillary, she might a good politician, but she tends to be so arrogant, it seems that she thinks that only what she´s saying is the right thing to do (like in this campaign), attacks her oponent from the party a lot, and many more.

The race is pretty close, their plans are very similar.  I think it comes down to charisma and that though Clinton has alot of history with us it isn't all good history.  I think when a President is run through a ringer we all feel like we have, also, to some degree been run ourselves and it reflects in some of our decisions in this race.

I happen to like Clinton  , but people are tired of the good ol boy politics of Washington and we need a person who hasn't been corrupted by years of playing the DC game.

Her actions as the wife of former President Clinton and the lies that came in this nomination stuggle caused it! She booted herself! If one remembers, she could not hold her place when Al Gore was Vice-President and was interferring with his job! She told noted lies that most have commented about and her book on what a family is was not what Americans think should be: We are not a community, but a family with a husband/wife/ and possibly children... the community comes after this! If she could not hold her place as the wife of a President, what would she do as President? Would she insist on half our tax funds go to support the ACLU as they were founded by a card carrying Communist, as should be noted. We may also note that they are the only legal action team that does receive our taxes through Liberal votes! Earl

It's so obvious Clinton is the best candidate, and the Media has downplayed  her right from the beginning.. Obama has many skeletons going back to how he was made senator in Chicago,This will all come out.imo. The democrat leadership needs to take a leap in the Biggest Lake.

It's not a matter of being "against" Clinton, it's being "for" Obama.

There are many resons to not be "for" Clinton.

She is desperate and can't handle it so she has to use manipulative tactics to get what she wants.  This means turning this into some form of racism.

She has said so many horrible things about Obama and doesn't have guts to say it to his face.  She does it at her own rallies that are small crowds.

Obama says nothing about her character behind her back, he says it to her face and when someone else ie Edwards had a few things to say about her, he stopped him and said she deserved an applause for the hard work she is DOING.

Obama is a man of character.  He is the American Dream- he lived off food stamps as a child and worked his way to Harvard.

She is smart and assertive but rather manipulative and an angry soul.

Obama is a very charismatic speaker. He knows how to talk to an audience and to get them to believe in nothing. And he is more fluff than anything. He reminds me of Hitler.
