Question:

In the USA, TV adverts mostly plug quack medicines. In the UK it's insurance. Which is the bigger con-trick?

Adverts like that MUST WORK or the advertisers wouldn't pay for them. But since the claims made are so vague and evasive, on either side of The Pond, isn't it fair to suspect sharp practice? Aren't we all just complete mugs to believe any of it?

  3. Lately, the UK doesn't even bother pretending - we now have US adverts badly dubbed with various regional British accents

    (Seen the Bio Oil ads?)

  4. Insurance in the UK is not a con-trick. It pays out more to claimants than the State does.

  5. at least insurance doesnt fvck with your physical health. especially all those psych meds plugged. no wonder they are all nucking futs.
