In the USA, are the youth of today more comfortable with contradictions?

Is this a logical extension of the ironic traits of Generation X? If a generation is comfortable with contradiction, is this an example of a post-modern society?

Very good question.  I would say yes, and offer that 'Generation X' is comfortable with contradictions because they have refused to look at anything that happens before or beyond their own existence.  They do not look at history to see how events have evolved to the point they are at currently.  There is no critical examination of culture or society for them (instead everything has a blasé acceptance:  drugs, s*x, homosexuality, entertainment based society, etc.), and this is the real threat of GenX/post-modern thought.

I love this question. I would say so. It's just a reflection of the values of the current administration.

The negative influence on generation X is in other words, all things that should matter most, just apparently, don't.
