  1. a mile equals to a 1650 so 66 laps

  2. 66 laps!

  3. 1650yrds, 66

  4. You have to know how long the pool is.  YMCA pools come in all sorts of lengths, 25 yards, 33 1/3 yards, 20 yards, 25 meters.  Once you know that, 1500 meters is in swimming considered a mile, and, as mentioned 1650 yards is a mile in competition (though 1760 yards is actually a mile).  Once you know the length, you can do the math.

  5. 60ish...

  6. 66 laps. I am a compettitive swimmer and I love swimming the mile.

  7. It's actually not all that obvious - you'll have to ask what the length of your pool is. It's *probably* 25 yards, but that's not certain. At my gym, it's 25m.

In meters, 1500m is generally considered to be 1 mile.

In yards, 1650yd is 1 mile.

If one length of the pool (Shallow - Deep) is 25m, then

    50m / lap, so 30 laps.

If one length is 50m (Olympic length), then 15 laps.

If one length of the pool is 25 yards, then 33 laps.

If one length is 50 yards (very rare), then 16 laps + 1 length.

    Happy swimming!

  8. In a competition, it's 66 laps.

  9. if it is a 50meter pool it is 15 laps

if it is a 25 yard pool it is 33 laps
