In the airport(Helsinki)?

Question

Do the guards know english there? (like the security people and flight attendants) Because, I am going there, but like what should I say when I am asked about stuff in security? Can someone plz show me some basic airport finnish?

p.s. lol im always nervous about non english stuff in an airport. when i was in japan, even though i can speak fluently, im worried about me forgetting what to say

All schoolchildren have studied English at school during the last 2 decades or so, so you should not worry at all!! ALL in the tourist business know their English extremely well. Welcome to Finland, you should never have any language worries whatsoever!

Don't panic - the majority (all?) of the customer-interfacing staff (passport control, customs, customer service etc etc) will speak English fluently (and probably a number of other languages as well)

If you do not speak/understand Finnish it is better for you to stick to English.  Their English is going to be better than your Finnish, and that way there is no mis-understandings through language differences
