Just wondering (out of total complete randomness) are Joseph (as in the one with the multicoloured coat) and Joseph (who married Mary, and was the adopted father of Jesus) the same person? Confused... :s

Thier are several josephs mentioned in the bible as there is also alot of Marys. These were common names

Mary's Joesph is in the New...Two different people.

No, Joseph (colored coat) is in the old testament, son of Jacob and Rachel.  After he died, then the other Joseph (Mary's husband) son of David, came to be.
