  1. 1 Thess 4:13-18

    No it does not.

Paul said that when we die we immediately go to be with Christ.

Our body is buried but our soul and spirit go to be with Christ.

    2 Corinthians 4:14

Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

    2 Corinthians 5:8

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

  2. Their souls are in heaven. All believers will get a brand new resurrected body for eternity.

  3. Their body is in the grave and their spirit is awaiting the Resurrection on the world of spirits called Paradise.

  4. no. they are all in heaven, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. the body goes to sleep in the grave and may rot to dust, but the soul and spirit go to be with Christ. at His return He will reanimate the bodies and the souls will return and rise as incorruptable.

  5. It means you read too many Chick tracts.

  6. There is no death just as Jesus rose from the dead so will you.

  7. It means their bodies will meet with their spirits.

It also means baptists are first in heaven at the Rapture,LOL

  8. Yes, the only ones to have died and gone to heaven were Moses, Jesus, and somebody else in the Bible (sorry, my memory isn't all that great, lol). However, I do have to say that I have no solid proof that I am correct. This is the way that I have been told it will be by many Christians, however many have said it to be the opposite also.

Sorry if I am not of any help to you.

  9. You need to read the book:

Rapture: The End Times Error That Leaves the Bible Behind by David Currie

  10. the bible is collection of myths. lies and doubtful historical accounts doctored to suit someones political aims cobbled together in AD325 leaving out documents that had any inconvenient items that the church leaders did not want included. Ignore it and get on with your life. It's the only one you'll get

  11. I think I will just wait and see, it would be kind of cool, like a zombie movie or something.

  12. A lot of people answer these types of questions with their own temporal (view of time) chronology. When you die you step out of time into eternity, so with this in mind, in eternity the dead in Messiah have already risen and are meeting Jesus in the air. So in other words when you die you automatacally meet Jesus in the air seeing those left alive rising to meet Him also.

  13. That is exactly what these words mean:

1 Thessalonians 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  :17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

If anyone (souls included) is in heaven - what is the point of the judgment and resurrection ?

Jesus is the ONLY ONE who has been resurrected into heaven!

If one is to read 2 Corinthians 5:8 in context one would clearly see that Paul is not saying that the dead go immediately to heaven.

The apostle Paul deduces an inference for the comfort of believers in their present state and condition in this world, 2Co_5:6-8. Here observe,

    1. What their present state or condition is: they are absent from the Lord (2Co_5:6); they are pilgrims and strangers in this world; they do but sojourn here in their earthly home, or in this tabernacle; and though God is with us here, by his Spirit, and in his ordinances, yet we are not with him as we hope to be: we cannot see his face while we live: For we walk by faith, not by sight, 2Co_5:7. We have not the vision and fruition of God, as of an object that is present with us, and as we hope for hereafter, when we shall see as we are seen. Note, Faith is for this world, and sight is reserved for the other world: and it is our duty, and will be our interest, to walk by faith, till we come to live by sight.

    2. How comfortable and courageous we ought to be in all the troubles of life, and in the hour of death: Therefore we are, or ought to be, always confident (2Co_5:6), and again (2Co_5:8), We are confident, and willing rather to be absent from the body. True Christians, if they duly considered the prospect faith gives them of another world, and the good reasons of their hope of blessedness after death, would be comforted under the troubles of life, and supported in the hour of death: they should take courage, when they are encountering the last enemy, and be willing rather to die than live, when it is the will of God that they should put off this tabernacle. Note, As those who are born from above long to be there, so it is but being absent from the body, and we shall very soon be present with the Lord - but to die, and be with Christ - but to close our eyes to all things in this world, and we shall open them in a world of glory. Faith will be turned into sight.

  14. The bible is full of bullshit, none of it is real and was written 100's of years after the death of jesus.

  15. This concerns the much maligned rapture of the Church. The bodies of the dead will come out of their graves. Immediately thereafter, the living will be caught up too. Together we will meet Jesus in the air and our bodies will be transformed. Our dead and aging earthly bodies will be replaced by glorified bodies that will never die or grow old.

The souls of the dead have been waiting in heaven for this very moment and will be united with their new bodies at this time.

  16. that is correct....all are asleep until the day of judgment...to us here time moves very slowly...to them it is only a twinkling of the eye....
