In the book Ender's Game, do you think Ender should go to prison for the people he killed?

He killed Stilson and Bonzo.

I do not think he should go to prison because it was in self defense. But some say that because he killed he should go no matter what. But what is the purpose of going to prison? So bad people realize that what they did was wrong, and to punish them for something they did that they knew even at the time that they committed the act that it was wrong. But Ender is not a bad person and he didn't even know that he killed them at the time and that wasn't his goal was to kill. So there would be no point for him to go to prison because even though he killed someone, the things that prison is supposed to do would not work on him because of his situation.

What are your thoughts?

You're right, he did in self defense, and I think he should not go to prison for it. In Texas, we're allowed to shoot people in defense of ourselves and our property. Same concept.
