  1. im not doing your homework.

  2. The north was the industrial center of the US, and the South was more the agricultural part, relying heavily on tools manufactured by the North. On the lead-up to the Civil war, the South was opening up tariff-free ports to Europe and getting manufactured goods for cheaper, and some speculate this may have been one of the leading reasons for the breakout of the civil war.

  3. Well, there were many factors that caused the north to have advantages but I will name a few.  The first major advantage that the North had over the South was that of better technology.  The north had more transportation as it related to ferries, locomotives, etc.  The north also had more technological advances such as machines to do the work for them.  Those types of machines included the cotton gin, tractors, and other farm vehicles.  The south lacked much of the techonological advances because they were still holding onto slavery.  The south was not very prosporous due to the costs of the the slave trade.  The north begin to let many of the slaves go and even sent many of them to fight in the war which cut down on costs.. So in turn they were more prosporous with the advance of machinery and letting go of the slaves they once held while the south were stuck in their rural ways and did not catch on to technology until much later..

  4. the north had factories which meant a lot could be made there and sold overseas

    &

    they were richer
