  1. according to wiki

The movie is inspired by an event from director Bryan Bertino's childhood: a stranger came to his home asking for a person and he would later find out that empty homes in the neighborhood had been burgled.[2] With that memory in mind, Bertino created this screenplay.[2] In an interview, Liv Tyler revealed that in Bertino's original script "You saw a lot more of the strangers" and "It was much more of a Manson-esque experience."[2] One of the film's largest sources of inspiration were the Keddie, California murders which took place in 1981.

So it sounds like most of the movie is a plot hole other than stranger coming to the door. I havent seen it, didnt peak my interest to see it in theaters, will wait for the dvd and netflick it or something.

  2. i havent seen this movie but i want to  ....is it worth it

  3. That film really freaked me out for some reason. I hate it when a movie starts out with BASED ON A TRUE STORY, so you go to look up the "true" story and it's based on nothing really similar to their situation..
