Their are more good RB's than QB's and on an average QBs make more points

  1. Unless you get 6 pts per pass TD and Brady is sitting there at pick 6 or later, you have to go RB first.  There is so much RBBC going on that true starting RB's are now at a premium. There is a lot more of a drop off from the first tier RB's to 2nd tier than there is from the 1st tier QB's to the 2nd tier and you likely starting two RB (at least) vs only one QB.

  2. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS DRAFT RB'S FIRST BECAUSE FOR A QB IT IS 25- YRDS A POINT FOR RB'S ITS 5-YRDS A POINT. U WILL ALWAYS HAVE A TOP 10 RB (HOPEFULLY) THEN YOU WILL GET LIKE100-130 RUSHING YRDS A GAME. PLUS RB'S GIVE YOU RUSHING, RECIVENG, AND PASSING YRDS AT A TIME SO I WOULD DRAFT RB'S FIRST.

  3. That is a great question, especially in today's NFL where the "running game by committee" is becoming more and more prevalent. I think that you have to be flexible and it will depend on who is available when it is your turn. The days of the #1 pick always going to Holmes, Johnson, of LT are over.

  4. Here's the deal.  You're right.  QBs do score more than RBs but you start 2 RBs every week.  + RBs get injured much more often.  Go w/ RBs first.  This year however,  I have Brady ranked #3 over-all as N.E. plays the easiest schedule in NFL history!

  5. It depends where I picked. Early on, you really should take the running back. The drop off from the elite backs is more significant, and they are harder to come by. Most leagues you only start one QB, so you can get a decent one later. By then, the good runners are all gone. That said, when you get down to picks 8, 9, and 10, the sure-thing running backs are usually gone. May as well take an elite QB or WR, rather than a second tier running back you can pick up next two rounds.

p.s. Yes, QBs usually are worth more points BUT- remember that the 10th best QB will still be worth 200 points usually, whereas the 10th best RB is SIGNIFICANTLY not as good as the top few. Tom Brady was kind of a "once in a lifetime" exception last year.

  6. What are your league settings?

If the scoring is very favorable for a QB, I might consider one at the back end of the first round.

There are so few true "feature" backs who will get 300 carries, it's best to grab one, and wait on a QB.

You can wait a round or two on a QB and still get Palmer or Brees.

  7. you have got to go RB in an 8 man league.

if you are in a 10/12 man league and have a 10,11,12th spot - consider picking up #1 QB if still around. I have been playing FF for years and have experimented with both. I definitely say RB in Rnd. 1.

    My typical selection is RB1, RB2, WR1, QB1, WR2/TE1, QB2, WR3, RB3....

    Good luck
