Do you think that China falsified passport ages for Jiang Yuyuan, He Kexin, and Yang Yilin? I've been to China many times and know that it's too easy to have official documents changed for business purposes.

  1. Well their are certain "tests" to determine age.

Such as measuring the forehead length, the longer it is, the older the person is usually.

Also, the eyes.  The iris of the eye takes up about 50% of the eye in adults, no matter the race, but as seen in the chinese girls the iris took way more than that, and their foreheads were still very short.

And once again people say "they're asian, their eyes are smaller"  It does not depend on race!

  2. nothing needs to be dont because nobody cheated :)

  3. I don't know... it would be kinda hard to do when the Country officials can do pretty much whatever they want... :/

it's just sad that any country has to stoop so low just to win a few medals... :/

  4. eliminate the chinese from the next olympics.

god dam it it is a friendly competion

  5. I don't think anything WILL be done

I think something SHOULD be done.

China just does what China wants - they break all kinds of laws - this is nothing new for the country of China.

  6. I think the Chinese government did falsify documents.  They have this plan called The 119 Plan, which basically is a ploy to get more Chinese athletes to compete in events where more medals can be won.  For example, gymnasts can only get a few medals: team final, all around final, individual apparatus.  A runner (which China has few of) can enter numerous different races, so they have the opportunity to win more medals.  It kind of removes a little of the Olympic spirit; they don't want to be great at these sports, they just want to win more medals.

I was asking a family member about how they could verify age and I honestly can't think of a way.  I don't think checking passports is fair because of the ability for them to be falsified, but also because a member of a war torn country or country that isn't developed enough to have a great records system is at a disadvantage.  In the USA we constantly use our birth certificates as proof of age; not all countries issue birth certificates.

  7. Either they should abolish the age rule or create a fool-proof device for testing age. The IOC only checks passports, which everyone knows can be faked.

  8. First of all, the ages of the competiters are ALL of age. The IOC checks it and the head of gymnastics checks it. Nothing needs to be changed. It's perfectly fine. So please don't accuse them wrongly when you have no proof.

  9. One girl was implicated but proved not guilty but later because there is no time to redo nd hence she is left back
