In the future could a hurricane...?

In the future its going to be warmer in the summer especially in the north, Could a hurricane, or at least produce a tropical depression or storm in the Great Lakes?

  1. Hurricanes like tornadoes need cold air aloft.  Global warming, if it ever happens, should reduce the severity and numbers of both.  It takes more than just warm water to make a hurricane.

  3. Actually a hurricane has formed in the Great Lakes. It was in September of 1996 and formed in Lake Huron. It was called "Hurricane Huron." Here's links you can  read about it.
