what do you do when...

Your opponent hits one of his balls with the cue ball and makes his ball fly off the table? (What do you do with the ball that flew off?)

What do you do when...

He makes your ball fly off with the cue ball(is it my turn afterwards? even if he gets one if his balls in the pocket in the same move?

Do I have the cue ball in hand?

  1. I know you don't want a link, but these are the official rules.  Go to the BCA (Billiard Congress of America) website and look under PLAY, then GAME RULES and look for the 8-ball rules.  All balls that get thrown from the table do not get respotted.  This is a foul, and the upcoming player gets ball in hand anywhere on the table.  If the jumped ball is the 8-ball it is a loss of game.

  2. Listen to Straight -Or just make up yourown rules

We give answers for BCA rules not bar or house rules we would need 3 more hard drives for all those

  3. Ok heres the deal  when he hits his ball with the cue ball and makes it fly off the table you get ball in hand. When he hits your ball before he hits one of his balls you get ball in hand even if his ball falls in one of the pockets. And yes it is your turn afterwards in both situations.

  4. When a ball, other than the cue ball is knocked off of the table, it is to be put on "the spot", at the oposite end of the table, from where you break.

If your oponent makes a ball, as long as he hits his first, he will continue to shoot.
