  1. Propaganda and entertainment have taken over the corporate media. There is no news reporting any longer.

There's always been news analysis in journalism, that's where op ed columns come in, however with the onset of shorter attention spans, less ability to read and comprehend what you read and hear  and more emphasis on infotainment instead of hard news, hard news is getting harder and harder to find. It also depends what country you are  in.

  3. I would definetly say so...

    Look at Fox and MSNBC....  One leans right, one leans left, one is red, one is blue.

    As for the preference of the viewers, I think they prefer whatever arena outputs towards their beliefs and their interests.
