In the listings for Groups that are similar, how is Yahoo Listing them?

For example about 2 years ago - it appeared to be alphabetical, then it appeared they changed this so it was determined by membership number. Today, there is no rhyme or reason. I search my group, we are more active than the others, and we have more members than all but one - yet we appear 3rd in the listing.

It varies.  You are very lucky for your group to be third in the listing.
